This is day 3 of my "alone time". I don't remember it being this miserable when I was single. I guess I had a more exciting life back then. I worked 2 jobs at a night club and enjoyed the night life quite a bit. I had places to go and people to see. So when I got home and it was just me I was perfectly fine with that. Plus, I was never alone for too long at the time because Kolby was with me. When he went to visit my parents it was only a few miles away. Not a few hundred. Joel is saying the rain and lack of work may send him home sooner than he thought, though, so that's good. It will mess up the plans we had for him to pick up Kolby on the way back, but we can always go get him Friday.
So anyway, I have to admit that it isn't totally horrible being alone. I haven't had to do nearly as much cleaning, I get the whole King bed to myself, I can cook (or not cook) anything I'd like, and Joel's alarm doesn't wake me up at 5:30 AM.
Joel called between the last paragraph and now and says he'll be home tomorrow morning. Yay! Thank you RAIN!
I haven't been creating much art; Digital or Real LIfe. I did make a little something in PSP a few days ago just so I wouldn't forget how. I used a tutorial. It took me a while to find a tutorial with all free materials, but I did it. It's a Christmas one, which isn't my favorite, but it let me stretch my PSP skills so I'm happy enough. I made several tags and an Incredimail stationery with it.
Here's my tag:
And you can download the matching Incredimail Stationery HERE.
I also did some updating on my Photoshop Group's blog. I gave it a Christmas background and added a couple of gadgets to the sidebar. Check it out!

Okay, that's it for now. I've got chores to work on.

Okay, so obviously Typepad and Fotki aren't wanting to get along right now because my tag slideshow refuses to work. It worked on Fotki and I'm well aware of how to insert HTML tags. So what gives? Oh well, if you want to see my tags and it doesn't show up this time, you'll just have to click this stinkin LINK.

I don't really have much to say from my day. I sealed a painting with wax, played with Modge Podge, had some cheescake.....and the usual day to day stuff. So I'll just post this slideshow of some of my tags made with PSP and Photoshop. It's not even half the tags I've made, but it's some I put up on Fotki.com.

Posting for the second time since IE closed on me for no apparent reason the first time I tried to post this!!!!
Gmail has labeled me a Spammer for some unknown, and very irritating, reason. I've been trying to email a Yahoo Group since yesterday with almost all of my emails returned to me because they labeled it spam. I'm NOT a spammer!! I've also been trying to show the tutorial result from a link I got from this group with no luck, sooooo....I'm just going to post it here, along with the copied email, and write to them from the home page! Take that Gmail!!
I decided to try this tut that Sue sent in:

You like the little painting bear? You want 22 extras like this? Okay! Here they are!
The graphics used for this were downloaded from a tutorial site with the exception of the painting bear. He was shared through a yahoo group a loooooong time ago. I've been wanting to use him in something ever since. He's a Forever Friends bear. I do NOT claim to have made any of these graphics. I only put the tags and extras together in PSP. Anyway, I hope you enjoy them!

I don't know what to do with myself right now. The house is unusually quiet. Kolby and Joel are sleeping and so are the critters.....all of them! That's rare as Penny usually stays up until I go to bed. She sleeps in our bed of course. Even the gliders, the nocturnal babies, are snoozing. They'll be awake again I'm sure, but it's kinda nice to have the house to myself while it's quiet. Like I said, though....I don't know what to do. lol Things are usually hustling and bustling around here no matter what time of day.
I did take this time to do some PSP playing. I made a tag for myself from some graphics I thought were cute. Here it is:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As you can see it's pink and black....I love those colors together. I remember when I was a kid having some Converse shoes. I don't remember what color, though. I just remember having them.
I've been wanting to paint again lately. I've been searching Etsy and Ebay for my inspiration. There is no shortage of inspiration on those sites!! I also came across a blog with some very pretty pieces. Check it out: http://artandtea.vox.com/ I just love the vibrant colors! My favorite on that page right now is the cats in the room with the lil blue birdy. This is my favorite style....Folk Art. I like the prim stuff, but the vibrant colored ones are the ones I'm drawn to the most. Wish me luck in my painting....I'm still a beginner and my teacher is ALLLLLLL the way up in GA. lol
I guess I'll hop off here and go to bed with the rest of the family. It's late anyway and I have a book that I'm reading that I'd love to get into further.
Have a good one!
I'm pretty sure I've completed more tutorials than the ones above, but for now these will do. Now, how about a desktop I created from my own creativity...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The desktop is 1024X768 PPI. If you click on the image above it will open at full size and you can right click to snag it. You put your icons in the big, empty frame. The scrap set used is by Kay Miller of www.kaymillerdesigns.com
I think that's about it for now. I better go because we're all starving and I believe we're going to pick up pizza tonight. We usually just have it delivered, but I want to get outta this house! lol Have a good one!

Well we're back from Naples and Mom has gone home to GA. (thanks again, Mom, for critter-sitting!) It's always so sad when she has to go back home. We both cried as she was leaving today. Kolby said he was sad, too. You never get too old to need your Mommy.
I slept for most of the day today. I have been feeling like I was going into an RA flare up, though, so I guess it's good I stayed off my feet. I SO hope the RA monster isn't flaring its ugly head! It's been a couple of years since my RA has been really bad. My ankle is hurting and so is my hip/back and knee. Plus, as of today, I think I've got a cold. I'm not sure, though, as my allergies have been terrible. Maybe some of this rainy weather will wash that pollen away.
The time I wasn't sleeping today I spent with Kolby. He wanted me to clean his computer off so he could turn it into a gaming computer. It's my old Dell. He uses his laptop for his school work, so this will be his play computer I guess. I still need to take a lot of my stuff off there so it'll be faster for him. He went ahead and started installing, though, before I was done. I left it doing a clean up and when I came back the Clean-Up box was gone and there was a new game on it. lol I asked him what he had done with the Clean-Up and asked if it had finished and he said he didn't know anything about that, but he installed a game. :-P
Mom cut Kolby's hair last night before bed. He has a cute new "do". He doesn't like for me to compliment him on it, but I just had to do it. He looks even more grown up now I think. I can't believe I'm looking UP at him now!! Holy crap....where did my baby go? He looks like a man now!! *sobs*
Joel and I got back from his business trip on Thursday and he already has to leave again on Tuesday. I'm not very happy about his job right now. They don't pay him enough for him to be driving and flying all over the place!! It's really pissing me off! Pardon the language, but it does! I don't see him as much as his co-workers and boss do. That's not right! They should at least give me a loaner husband when they're going to take mine away for so long!! LMBO (just teasing, Joel)
I thought about doing a tutorial for PSP or PS before bed, but it's already 3 AM. I better call it a night or I'll be up till Joel goes to work. That's not out of the ordinary for me, but I try not to do that. I already know which one I really want to do, though. It's such a cute one! http://www.got-milk-tutorials.co.uk/tinyangel.html That's one of my favorite tut sites. She always writes great ones. Anyway, I've already got the tut supplies downloaded, but it'll wait till tomorrow I suppose. I'm still not feeling well, so maybe by tomorrow I'll feel better if I go to bed now.
I'm off to bed. Night all!

I'm still enjoying myself here in Naples even though the weather is a bit scary. There was a thunder so loud that it shook the room a few minutes ago. I hope nothing got struck! It sure sounded like it was hitting the parking lot outside! Very scary! I'm still having a blast just relaxing in this posh place, though.
We had a delivery around lunch time today from my thoughtful In-Laws. They sent us a wine basket full of goodies. There was the wine, some crackers, cheese, mints, Bree, cookies, and a few other things I think. Also, there are some beautiful purple and white Orchids in there among the goodies. I wonder if my sweet MIL did that or if it was just a happy coincidence that my favorite flower was included in the basket. There was also a card wishing us a great time while we're here. Room service delivered the basket and brought extra wine glasses, although the way this place is stocked we already had those plus anything else we need here. One could literally LIVE here and have everything you need to be comfy and happy. Anyway, THANK YOU to my In-Laws, Sandy and Steve!! We love our surprise!!
I had a few hours of down time after our trip down here on Sunday night. So I played on my laptop and PSP. I completed a fun little tutorial: http://justtagit.net/tutorials/springtimewalk.html

Gotta run get ready before Joel gets off work. I think we're going to eat at the Cheesecake Factory tonight. :-) See ya!
