....I became Mrs. Joel Allen Heape Jr. We were married in my hometown of Tignall, GA in the church I grew up going to called, Tignall Baptist. Rev. Dale Fincher officiated. It was a beautiful ceremony. Mostly thanks to my mom and her friend's coordination and decoration efforts. The reception was wonderful. The gymnasium was draped in white, with white lights and greenery everywhere and maroon colored balloons to match the color of the bridesmaids dresses. The night before after our rehearsal we had a yummy dinner at a beautiful bed and breakfast, thanks to my MIL's plans and efforts. The bed and breakfast actually has a history in my family, but that's a different story. Anyway, that was the first time I had ever had crawfish e'touffe...lol Love at first taste. :-P Okay, okay......I'm sure my little stroll down memory lane won't be as special to my blog readers as it is to me, so enough of that. Today was our 7th wedding anniversary, though, so it was a darn special day for us. We didn't have any special plans, really. We thought we might go out to dinner, but it was rainy and we weren't much in the mood for going out. We had re-heated vegetable soup at home instead. lol
My lens arrived today and I took some test photos with it. Kolby actually let me take some photos of him!! Granted, it was only him peeking out from under the covers, but I think they'll be really cute. I'm hoping that we'll be able to go somewhere like a park or something this week so I can really give it a good work-out. I'll post my test shots as soon as I upload them to my computer. So far, though, I really like what I see. :-)
I also received my new book! The one that I've been wanting for a long time.....Freestyle! It was back in stock, so I went ahead and ordered it. All 3 stores that carried it were out until last week. That's how popular it is. Hopefully it'll teach me how to think "outside the box" a little more with my layouts. LOL....It's funny....all your life you're taught to stay between the lines. But when it comes to art or any other creative thinking.....it's "think outside the lines" that works! When I took my photography courses, that's what the instructor told us. To think outside the box. I have a hard time with that. I'm a bit of a perfectionist.....which really messes me up in a lot of ways. I spend twice as long doing things like writing emails, blog entries, doing layouts, cleaning up, etc... I guess that's why I never have enough time to get all the things done that I really want to do. Actually, I think everyone has that problem for one reason or another. Mine is perfectionism. You wouldn't know it to see some aspects of my life, though. :-P (Housekeeping comes to mind) lol
I did a layout yesterday. It was with some old photos that I found on a disk. Here it is....

These are some old photos of me, Kolby (DS), and Joel. (DH) I went through some old disks to find them. We had a blast tubing that day. Helen, GA is one of the most beautiful towns I've ever seen. I love it there.

I started working on another layout for Kristy of Madison, too. I didn't get done with it yet, though. I kept getting interrupted, so I quit until I can have some free time.
My knee is still pretty swollen and painful. I wish I had better news there, but oh well....I'm still hoping I'll go into another remission any time now. It's been swollen since December, so it's been a while. I haven't even been able to work out much the last week or so with it this size. Thankfully, though, I'm off of the prednisone all together, so hopefully I'll be able to drop a few pounds just being off of that stuff! That's what made me gain in the first place! Grrr...I won't go on those again unless I absolutely have to.
And with that I think I'll end this entry. I'm sitting on the bed with my laptop in my lap and my legs have fallen asleep. lol Have a great Tuesday!
